Avalon
Standardbred
Mare
16 YO
15.1hh
Meet this sweet gal, Avalon! Her registered name is Tudorlee. Looks like she was once on the track with 37 starts, but her last race was in 2007, so who knows where she’s been in the last 12 years. All we know is she was waiting to be sent to slaughter!
She is sweet as can be and loves getting itchies scratched. Once she gets to know you, she'll be your loyal puppy dog follower around the barn yard. She rides well and is trail safe, husband safe and kid safe. However, we recommend an advanced beginner-- no complete newbies! She's plow reined, just a point and go type. Rides bareback with a halter, or saddled with a bit. Moves right along and can be very forward with those long Standie legs. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She's not spooky... no kick, bite, buck, bolt or rear. She leads quietly, loads like a champ, stands tied, stands to be tacked up and is easy to catch when she's familiar with you.
She would love to go to a home with lots of love and trails to explore! She just needs an easy going life with someone to call her own person. She has a little bit of weight left to gain after all she's been through, but she's been steadily putting on the pounds since she's been with us. We recently had her hooves trimmed by our farrier, she was worked over by the chirpractor and had her teeth floated by our equine dentist.
Current coggins and ready to go!
